Building Withdean

After 2 seasons exile in Gillingham the Seagulls returned home to lodge ‘temporarily’ at The Withdean Stadium for the start of the 1999/2000 season. A homeless person doesn’t refuse shelter and the stadium which was later derided as the worst stadium in the country by other fans served the Albion well.  These images were taken a few months before the first home league match against Mansfield Town.. a 6 nil win to the Albion.
